We decided to treat ourselves to a morning drive motivated by a 40%
discount for over sixties.
Up at 04h15 for a 04h45 departure. The weather was fine when we left but
the wind chill on the open safari vehicle was very cold, fortunately we were
given blankets to wrap up in.
7 Km from Lower Sabie we came across mating Lions on the tar road, using
the warmth of the tar. It was a great experience to be so close to mating Lions
viewed from an open vehicle. I only took my camera and 300mm lens with on the
drive, and found that we were so close to the lions that the lens was too big.
The drive duration was 3 hours and we were back just after 08h00, other
than the Lions we saw nothing special.

Our guide on the drive said this was a African Hawk eagle, back at camp we looked up. it is not a Hawk Eagle.
we are sure it is not a Martial it could be a Crowned Eagle. Any help out there?
