Steadies up Depart for Karoo

Steadies up at 10h00 on Friday 1 April, an easy drive of 450Km to Karoo National Park outside Beaufort west.
Arrived one day early for 3 nights. Steadies down and enjoyed a delicious 1st night celebratory braai.
Slept late on Sat. 2 April. Went out for a late afternoon drive and found Lion on our first drive out, we know it was not Sylvester as he has been recaptured and is in a secure boma, but had a distant view of this lioness stalking.
Karoo N.P. is a great camp with spotless facilities and we have a great site.
We leave on Monday 4 April for Bloemfontein where we overnight before heading for Clarens and Golden Gate.
Coffee and padkos on the way

Lioness seen at a distance, our first sighting of lion in Karoo N.P.

Sylvester after being recaptured, drugged and secured for transport back to a holding boma until a decision can be made on this escape artist.
